Woman Indicted For Stealing Hospital Patient’s Purse
Several indictments have been obtained against a Lawrenceburg woman, arrested late last year for stealing a purse from a patient at Crockett Hospital.
Investigators with the Lawrenceburg Police Department made the arrest of Shannon Nicole Alexander, 34, of South Locust Avenue, in early January.
A hospital patient reported on December 13, 2012 that her purse had been stolen from her room. During the investigation detectives report they discovered that Alexander had attempted to use the victim’s credit card at a Lawrenceburg business. In addition, they said that she had forged the victim’s signature on a number of her checks.
During the last session of the Lawrence County Grand Jury members opted to return indictments against Alexander, charging her with credit card fraud, theft, and seven counts of forgery.
Alexander is scheduled to appear in Lawrence County Circuit Court on May 13, 2013.
